The recipients of these awards have significant achievements in the geothermal academic, scientific, and commercial communities. The award winners will be recognized during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinkgeoenergy.com\/registration-open-geothermal-rising-conference-27-30-october-2024-hawaii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024 Geothermal Rising Conference (GRC) in Waikoloa, Hawaii.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Early bird registration for the GRC is still open available until the 31st of July 2024. <a href=\"https:\/\/grc2024.mygeoenergynow.org\/registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Click here to register.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Returning for 2024 is the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Champion Award to acknowledge individuals whose exemplary efforts are helping make the geothermal community a more inclusive space.<\/p>\n<p>The Young Professional Award will again be awarded in two separate categories in order to recognize different fields of influence \u2014 one focused on leadership and one on scientific contributions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The awards categories are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Aidlin Presidential Award<\/span> \u2013 Recognizes an individual who has helped the Geothermal Rising President during their time in office, mentoring\/supporting them in the role. This would be at the full discretion of the President.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Geothermal Pioneer Award<\/span> \u2013 Recognizes an outstanding achievement and contributions to the development of geothermal resources. This would recognize individuals with a dedicated service to the industry that has led the way for the rest of us.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Ramey Subsurface Excellence Award<\/span> \u2013 Recognizes outstanding achievement in subsurface geoscience and engineering and impacts on geothermal development.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Holt Utilization Excellence Award<\/span> \u2013 This award recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of geothermal power plant design and construction, direct use, and other surface utilization focusing on innovation.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Geothermal Special Achievement Awards<\/span> \u2013 Recognizes special or outstanding achievement in any aspect of geothermal energy development and related areas.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Young Professional Award (Leadership)<\/span> \u2013 Recognizes young innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and up and coming leaders, under the age of 35, who have had an impact on the geothermal community.
