{"id":19661,"date":"2024-07-09T03:04:20","date_gmt":"2024-07-09T03:04:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/energybuzz.ph\/staging\/6915\/geothermal-power-project-in-lower-saxony-germany-secures-private-investment\/"},"modified":"2024-07-09T03:04:20","modified_gmt":"2024-07-09T03:04:20","slug":"geothermal-power-project-in-lower-saxony-germany-secures-private-investment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/energybuzz.ph\/staging\/6915\/geothermal-power-project-in-lower-saxony-germany-secures-private-investment\/","title":{"rendered":"Geothermal power project in Lower Saxony, Germany secures private investment"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alfa8.co\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\">alfa8<\/a> Colab Limited (\u201calfa8\u201d) has signed an Investment Agreement with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terrathermo.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external nofollow noopener\">TerraThermo<\/a> Limited (\u201cTerraThermo\u201d) whereby alfa8 will invest in TerraThermo and the development of Projekt Thermo, a 12-MW geothermal power project in Lower Saxony, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>The Investment provides for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>up to \u20ac1m in working capital, to advance Projekt Thermo to financial close; and<\/li>\n<li>up to \u20ac32.5m in future financings for Projekt Thermo, subject to certain conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TerraThermo will use the alfa8 working capital to undertake technical and financial due diligence on the project, with the intention of reaching financial close in Q4 2024\/Q1 2025. In additiona to alfa8\u2019s financing, TerraThermo is in discussions with the European Investment Bank (EIB) on a potential parallel investment to fund up to \u20ac32.5m for Projekt Thermo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TerraThermo Limited,<\/strong> an Irish company, has been formed to be a leading European deep geothermal power generation company delivering Energy From Rocks<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/energybuzz.ph\/staging\/6915\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/2122.png\" alt=\"\u2122\" class=\"wp-smiley\" style=\"height: 1em; max-height: 1em;\">.
