Within the framework of the XXX Congress of the\u00a0<\/a>Mexican Geothermal Association<\/a> (AGM), in Morelia, Michoac\u00e1n, Mexico, the two winners of the First Geothermal Internship 2024 \u201cYoung Promoters of Geothermal Energy: linking academia, industry and communities\u201d<\/strong> were announced, YGP- 2024.\u00a0The program is an initiative led and organized by ENERYOU<\/a>, the UNAM Institute of Geophysics, and the International Geothermal Association (IGA), with the collaboration of Grupo IIDEA, ALVO, and IER.<\/p>\n

The winners, B\u00e1rbara Utes\u00e1 from the Argentine Geothermal Chamber, and Jaime Mu\u00f1oz from the Honduran Institute of Geology and Mines (INHGEOMIN), will spend 5 weeks in Mexico soaking up everything geothermal. The internship program includes participation in the aforementioned Congress, visits to geothermal plants and communities, as well as work with research groups.<\/p>\n
